JAMESTOWN – Some of the best young singers and musicians the area has to offer will put their talent on display later this month in downtown Jamestown. On Saturday, May 19, Infinity Visual and Performing Arts will present its annual Spring Showcase, with events taking place at both the Infinity Center and across the street at the Reg Lenna Civic Center.

“Infinity's annual Spring Showcase is a celebration of kids and the arts,” explains Shane Hawkins, Infinity executive director. “The event helps to counter all the negative stories you might hear about kids and teens and their actions. There are so many children in our community that are doing excellent and creative things with their time and we want to celebrate that and give them the positive feedback that they deserve. This event helps to literally showcase all that they do and achieve.”

Starting at 5:30 p.m., there will be a student art show and open house at the Infinity Center at 115 East Third Street in Jamestown. The event will allow families and residents an opportunity to see some of the visual artwork students have been working on throughout the year. Visitors will also be invited to tour the facility and learn more about the program.

Infinity's Annual Spring Showcase & Open House

It's finally spring! Just the time of year that all of Jamestown has been waiting for. Flowers are blooming, the snow is gone (for the most part!), and the Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center is preparing to put on our Annual Spring Showcase!
So, you ask, what is Infinity's Spring Showcase all about? Well, put simply, it's an evening to showcase the multitudes of talent that can be found in Chautauqua County students! This evening has it all! Complete with an Art Exhibit featuring visual art work from students of all ages in Chautauqua County, an Open House tour of the Infinity Center, and a Showcase of Infinity's ensembles, private lesson students and brand new drama club, this is a night that you do not want to miss.
Held on Saturday, May 19, the Infinity Showcase will begin at 5:30pm at the Infinity Center for the opening of the Art Exhibit as well as Open House tours that will be provided by the Center's staff and Board of Directors. Following the Exhibit, Infinity fans can move across the street to the Reg Lenna Civic Center at 7:00pm for the Spring Showcase.
Tickets are $5 pre-sale and can be purchased at the Infinity Office, the Reg Lenna Box Office, or online at http://www.reglenna.com/tickets/product_info.php?cPath=19&products_id=195.
Tickets will also be on sale the evening of the show for $6. All children ages 18 and under will be admitted to the Showcase free of charge!
Join us as we celebrate the arts in Downtown Jamestown and the students who put in so much hard work and dedication throughout the year.
